Rich in History

There is an abundance of history and heritage to be found in the area.  Both Mussenden Temple, an 18th century folly and the ruins of Dunluce Castle can be found on the edge of dramatic clifftops giving reminders of ancient times.  The town of Coleraine itself is full of history and Ireland’s oldest settlement at Mountsandel provides an insight into man’s early life.

The Great Outdoors

The area offers everything for a superb leisure break on the North Coast - from water-skiing to horse riding, from parachuting to surfing.  Cyclists and walkers can take advantage of the area’s magnificent beaches, dramatic cliff lines, sheltered woodland and beautiful scenery.  A whole variety of routes are available for all types and abilities.  Golfers can perfect their game on any of the three championship links and numerous other courses in the area while anglers can enjoy the excellent trout and salmon fishing which can only be described as some of the best in Europe.

A Splash of Culture

The North Coast stages many festivals and events each year, including the North West 200 motorcycle races, a range of golf tournaments and Portstewart Red Sails Festival.  Why not plan your trip to coincide with one of the many events and festivals that interest you.

For an evening of drama, music or comedy, visit the Riverside Theatre in Coleraine while, for those of you who love arts and crafts, you’ll discover examples of modern and traditional paintings, ceramics and sculptures by various Irish artists.

Add a splash of culture to your holiday with a trip to Flowerfield Arts Centre, home to music recitals, exhibitions and craft displays, as well as playing host to the annual Arts Festival.

Good Food, Good Times

For great food, whether it be gourmet, exotic or traditional, the North Coast caters for every taste.  A wide variety of high quality, fresh local produce is incorporated into the menus providing one of the many memorable experiences you will encounter during your stay in the area.

The area’s many pubs provide the opportunity to relax and enjoy good humour and chat. A number of the pubs offer traditional and contemporary music or, if dancing is more your thing, try out one of the various nightclubs.

With its vibrant nightlife, good food and accommodation, wide range of activities and things to do and see – the North Coast makes an ideal destination for a relaxed and memorable short break.
