This magnificent Blue Flag Awarded Strand, owned and managed by the National Trust, is the perfect spot for seaside and water-based activities.  Stretching for almost two-miles from Portstewart to the Bann estuary, with impressive views of Mussenden Temple, this shoreline has a unique natural beauty. The Trust has created a way-marked path from the beach, through the sand dunes, to the Lower Bann Estuary. Take this opportunity to watch many birds feeding on the mudflats - part of the Barmouth Bird Sanctuary.  Car parking is available on the beach and a charge is made from March to October.
