The following are permanent orienteering courses which are free to use. A permanent orienteering course comprises of a number of coded marker posts located at various features throughout the forest which correspond with circles marked on an orienteering map. This allows anyone with an over-printed map to try at their own pace a range of orienteering courses varying in navigational difficulty by visiting the marker posts in suggested orders. There is a small charge for these maps which are available from the CAAN offices (Tel: 028 9030 3931) or contact Anthony McGonigle on 028 7776 4779.
