Magilligan to Greencastle / Lough Foyle Ferry

Location: Magilligan, Limavady

A pleasant ferry crossing of around 15 minutes connects Magilligan point and the rest of the North Coast of Northern Ireland with neighbouring County Donegal and the Inishowen penninsula, in the Republic of Ireland. The crossing provides unique views of Magilligan, Lough Foyle and the hills of Donegal. The service provides a short-cut across Lough Foyle, cutting the driving time from Portrush to Malin Head by around 2 hours.

Operating on two schedules, one in winter and one in summer, the Lough Foyle Ferry provides services year round. Check the website for information on fares and sailing times. Fares are payable in either €Euro or £GBP.

Magilligan point is only 8 miles from Limavady town centre and 7 miles from Downhill and Castlerock on the North Coast.
