Located on the Coast Road towards Portballintrae, approximately 3 miles from Portrush, Dunluce is one of a series of fortifications built on rocky outcrops extending into the sea. It is thought by many to be the most picturesque and romantic of Irish castles.
A defended site from at least 500AD, the present castle ruins date mainly from the 16th & 17th Centuries. It was the power base of the MacDonnell family for nearly 100 years. Admission charge.
