North West Pipe Band Championships

The Pipe Band Championships once again return to Portrush for the ‘Champion of Champions’ followed by a parade of the town. This annual event is presented by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (Northern Ireland) in association with Coleraine Borough Council and Coleraine Borough Chamber of Commerce.

This years event will feature up to 50 pipe bands including The City of Queanbeyan Pipe Band all the way from Austrailia and Dollar Academy Pipe Band from Edinburgh. For more details visit www.rspbani.org.

Youth in Action Programme Fri 21st August Kerr St Green

Portrush

The Youth in Action programme takes place on Kerr Street Green from 12 noon on Fri 21st August and hosts junior competitions in solo drumming, piping and highland dancing with entries this year from Australia and Georgia USA. Entries forms available from Wed 15th July.

The afternoon comes to a climax with a performance by Dollar Academy in the Ampitheatre Portrush from 7-8pm .

Senior Solo Invitational Piping Competition
