2012 Olympic Torch Relay and Evening Celebration

The Olympic Torch comes to Portrush for its first Evening Celebration in Northern Ireland. The Torchbearers will carry the flame through the pretty seaside town and arrive at the Celebration site to light the Olympic Cauldron.
10,000 lucky ticket holders will be treated to a free programme of enterainment; X Factor stars Janet Devlin and Kitty Brucknell; a short set from NI band, General Fiasco; an air display featuring a WW2 RAF Dakota, RAF Tutor and the RAF Hawk jet as used by The Red Arrows; "The Sound of Music" set with Ballywillan Drama Group; Celtic Fusion of music and dance featuring Dominic Graham School of Dance, drummers and pipers; Coca-Cola giveaways and some special OLYMPIC guests.
